Starting in 2025, the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) will be moving to online services for granting authorization to your personal and business tax accounts. To stay on top of your tax affairs, we are asking that you create a CRA Online Account and add Taylor Leibow LLP (TL) as a Representative for both your individual and/or business tax matters. Instructions for how to do so are detailed below:
Individual Tax Account Setup
If you have not already created a CRA online account, please set one up using the following memo: Instructions for Creating a CRA Online Account. Each family member filing a personal tax return will need to create their own online account.
Once you have completed setting up your account, we ask that you authorize TL as a Representative to your account if we prepare your personal income tax returns: Instructions for Authorizing a Representative for Individuals

Business Tax Account Changes and Setup
If you are the Owner or Director of a Corporation, it is imperative that you obtain online access to your Corporation’s Online account. The CRA has transitioned to online mail as the default method of delivering most business correspondence. As a result, businesses will now receive most notices and correspondence through the My Business Account portal.
Before you can access your Business Account information online, you will need to register for an Individual CRA online account. Refer to the link above under Individual Tax Account Setup for creating a CRA Online Account.
If you already have a CRA Account, or have just completed the steps to create one, you can follow the memo: Instructions for Adding a Business to your CRA Account. Included in this memo is how to add your email address to your “My Business Account” and update your Notification Preferences.
